Pupil Premium Spending Plan 2018-19
What is Pupil Premium Funding?
Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and diminish the differences between these pupils and their peers. It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium, allocated to schools per FSM pupil is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility?. Source - DfE website.
At Hindley Junior and Infant School, we have high aspirations and ambitions for our children and we believe that no child should be left behind. We use Pupil Premium to ensure that children are given every chance to realise their full potential
How will the school measure the impact of the Pupil Premium?
At Hindley Junior and Infant School our Pupil Progress Meetings and School Performance Tables capture the progress, achievement and impact of Pupil Premium spending. Data is used to measure pupil progress and enable the early identification of further need, support or appropriate intervention. Review meetings, in the form of Pupil Progress Meetings, take place approximately every 10 weeks. At each meeting, the school reviews the impact of actions taken and plans how the funding will be allocated over the next phase.
